The most beautiful hazelnuts of all are the Tonde Gentile delle Langhe (TGL) hazelnuts from the Piedmont region of Italy. The indigenous trees are protected, the rich land where they grow is a UNESCO heritage site and the birthplace of the Slowfood movement. TGLs are sweet and delicate with a captivating hazelnut flavour. The Piedmont region is famous for their hazelnuts and… chocolate, cue the chocolatemakers. The hazelnuts are slow roasted then tumbled in SOMA's lovely dark chocolate blend made with cacao from our favourite farms and growing regions.
