Some of the best cooking methods for Pacific Cod are steaming, en papillotte, oil poaching, pan roasting, stews, deep frying (of course!) and hot smoking.
This Cod is line caught in the Pacific Northwest and landed in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. Fished in the icy waters of the Bering Sea, Pacific Cod is the sustainable alternative to Canadian Atlantic Cod. This fish is 'pot caught' using re-jigged crab traps (think Deadliest Catch) on small independent fishing vessels. It is gutted, filleted and skinned in one main processing operation before being shipped.
